Hey, guys.

[His voice sounded weary but oddly content and calm. For the first time in a long time, he felt like he was starting to understand something.]

I was thinking about something, actually.  A couple of somethings.  It's getting to be winter and, by my count, there's going to be a few holidays coming up for many of us. I know not all of us celebrates them the same way...but, at the same time, many of us can't celebrate them as we used to. We don't have the same traditions around here, or the same people.

...What I thought I would do was try to arrange a fun get-together in a few weeks for people who just want to relax and have some fun. There won't be any rules or ties to tradition, but there will be people. Tis the season to be with people you like, right?

Right.

[At this point he pauses to throw on a filter, just to tease someone:]

My other thought was to throw a surprise party for my girl. Mine Fujiko, for those who know her. It doesn't need to be anything big or fancy, but I want it to be special. She's been here for a long time.

I'm still trying to figure out how we're doing the food and finding our venue, but I'd love to hear any ideas that you guys have.  Cake should be involved here. Seriously. Otherwise, I'm completely open to any idea.

[While the sun is still out, Lupin decided to head out into the town to check for some better winter gear in the various shops. He's not picky. Later on he can be found enjoying a hot drink at the bakery before he returns back to his apartment in Community House 1. He is keeping an eye out for both Grell and Gambit during this time.

He needed to rework plans with them.]

If it were possible, it would be interesting to witness your reaction to being given an opportunity to explore the Enterprise.
Though I believe the experience may render you completely immobile... [Spock is trying to tease you...]

[Spock replies with a grin of his own, his eyes dancing with amusement...

The air starts to shimmer around them, and Spock's gaze never leaves Lupin's face as they suddenly find themselves standing in a shuttle... in space.]

[Action] yea, we're insane~

[He didn't even jump at the shift in 'location.' He had seen and experienced far too much in Luceti to be alarmed by something as relatively mundane as this. His first jump with Law was infinitely more surprising.]

I believe you will want to look out the window...

We are heading to a very specific location. [The amusement was palpable.. Spock was enjoying himself.]

[He turned his head toward the window that protected them from the vacuum of space, as Spock suggested, out curiosity. What was out there...?]

[The Enterprise in all of its magnificent beauty was the full of the window.
The Lady was docked at the station that they were heading towards.]

[Spock walked towards the window, but did not look out, instead keeping his attention on Lupin...]

Would you care for that tour?

[He gazed at her almost in awe. This wasn't the first time that he had encountered a space vessel, somehow, in Luceti...but it was the first time he had on such an iconic ship. The Enterprise, in a symbolic sense, was as much a ship as any naval vessel.

She was a treasure.]

[It was not long before they docked and Spock showed Lupin through the door and into the ships hanger.

There were no people around.]

This is the Ship's hanger... I presume you may want to start with the bridge?

[He was distracted by how immaculate the walls were.]

That was where a lot of that tv show took place in, when it didn't focus on the explorations. It was the Seventies. Budget problems.

Indeed... I am curious to hear about the differences.

[Spock lead them into the turbolift and pressed the appropriate button...
It barely took any time before the doors opened once more to reveal the large, bright room full of high tech consoles... and still completely devoid of people.]

[Spock wondered over to his workstation, his fingers idly brushing the surface...]

Whoa...

[He wandered through the bridge, thankful that Spock had the decency to keep the crew out of this mental recreation of his ship. Lupin brushed his fingers along the consoles as he studied them with a careful eye, admiring in the sheer elegance and utility of the construction.]

This...is cleaner, and more streamlined than the Enterprise from the show. If that makes sense.

[spohkh]

[Spock looks back at Lupin with an amused glance...]

Indeed? Is it satisfying your curiosity? [Spock gave him a Vulcan version of a smirk.]

'Satisfying my curiosity?' [Lupin grinned with the delight of a child.] This is fantastic!

[spohkh]

[Spock gives Lupin an amused look... then looks pointedly at the Captain's chair and tilts his head.]

Would you care to take a seat?

[redjacketthief]

[Lupin followed his gaze...]

You're really offering me that chair?

Where's a camera when you need one. XD

[spohkh]

[Spock gives Lupin a half-smile...]

Indeed Sa-kai.

better to not have one--he's fanboying.

[He was living the dream. Again. Lupin had to resist the urge to laugh in his giddiness.]

Oh man...you don't even know how many nerds are crying right now.

[But he took the seat. No, it was the Captain's chair, and settled into it. It's very existence lent itself an air of authority that spread over the person sitting in it by association. Lupin just wanted to enjoy that for a moment.]

[Spock quirked an eyebrow at that statement... but he could feel Lupin's happiness and decided to let it go for the time being....

He then realized how long they were in the mindscape...]

Perhaps we should depart for now. We have been meditating very deeply for quite some time now... you will feels its effects. Or perhaps I should extend my congratulations for the ability to sit and successfully mediate? [Spock was definitely teasing again...]

[Spock quirked an eyebrow, but the small smile remained on his face...]

Merely an experience of fatigue. You will sleep well tonight Sa-kai...


Are you ready to leave?

Yeah, sure. We can get out. I could use a good, solid night's sleep anyway.

[He looked over at Spock with a simple, genuine smile.]

Thanks for the chance to see a bit of home again.

[If Spock were a normal human, he would have been more inclined to laugh, smile, and thank Lupin profusely for this opportunity to explore and be... friends. However, he is not a normal human.. he is Vulcan.

This means Spock bows his head and closes his eyes....
The world around them dissolves, and Spock takes a breath as he once again opens his eyes in the real world. They were meditating for quite some time. He hopes that Lupin's legs are not compromised.]

Sa-kai?

[Even if they were 'compromised,' he had his balance back in full form. He would be able to manage a few stumbles without a problem.

He opened his eyes slowly and found himself once more in Spock's temporary room. His muscles were relaxed for the first time in a long while. After a long, peaceful moment he looked up at Spock--and grinned.]

[Spock notices the relaxation as he removes his hand.... he answers with his own small smile.]
