11th Turn [Written/Action]

Luceti.

Two things:

1. Whoever it was that found my work shop, return the pieces that you stole before the end of the day. I’ll be in the Barracks. If you fail to comply, I will find you.

It won’t be pretty.

2. What do the rest of you think about the last Shift? Was it good or bad? How did the loss of memory affect you? Do you think it left any long-term impact for yourself, your friends, and the rest of your stay in this village?

-Also. Prism Black. You deserve to be commended for your heroism. Never forget that.

Filtered to Trafalgar Law: Unhackable

I have a problem and I’d like a second opinion on it. It’s not big, but it could become complicated.

-I’d promise coffee, but I have an unrelated problem with getting it. I’ll be in the barracks.

[True to his word, Lupin will be in the barracks all day. His encounter with Spock on Monday, combined with his activities from earlier in the week had finally caught up to him. Fatigue was inevitable. He had spent the better part of the last few days asleep, never very far from his new charge. The veritable plague of crows that had been set upon him by an angered god was an unnecessary incentive. He kept the windows shut, locked away the gnawing need for a cigarette that bit at the back of his mind, and tried to ignore the judgement he saw reflected in the eyes of his avian watchmen—but he would have stayed close to the barracks regardless of their looming (and aggravating) presence.

While the days spent between dreams and fleeting considerations over recent affairs had rejuvenated him, it didn't stop the inherent restlessness that was his constant foe—the core problem that would never entirely leave. The people who knew him would be able to identify the briskness of his step and the cool control with which he held every action and every word. He was distracted by a new project , one that was completely foreign to him, and was unwilling to divulge details until the proper time came.

The thief had returned to work, but nothing was as it seemed.]

There's been news.

[It's not news that he has any intention of sharing. His stalking is classified, thanks.]
spohkh: (uh huh)

You better believe it! ^_^

[Spock wasn't expecting the projectile that made contact with his back... he look to where it landed on the floor and read the message. He turned slowly and looked up at Arsene, and then turned his gaze downwards once more. Though his posture straightened and his hands were clasped behind his back.]

I presume that you were the one that aided me during this time? I thank thee. Though I must ask, for how long was I not functional?
spohkh: (Default)

bring on the angst!

Three days?

[That was a long time considering other healing trances he has been in... Arsene has stayed with him for three days?]

Why...

Why did you stay? You owe me nothing.

[Spock's gaze has returned downwards...]
spohkh: (tired)

~Evil smile~

[Responsibility... that was another word for burden. Spock made sure his shields were well in place, he did not want to burden Arsene any further with his feelings.]

I...see. Then your assistance is no longer required. I shall leave you now.

[Spock turns to leave once more...]

[Law comes soon enough, drifting in like a wraith. One in a vaguely bad mood and irritated at being glared at.

He likes crows, mind. They're Itachi's animals of choice. He isn't liking their judging stare, though.

So he's silently judging right back.]

What a murder out there. [Grumble] So what's this problem of yours?
spohkh: (sad face)

I do my best. <3

[He was not expecting that. Physical touch no longer hurt, and his mental shields were for the most part repaired. And Spock knew at that moment that Arsene was sincere because he heard that... he heard Arsene's message. And still without making eye-contact Spock replied in-kind.]

How can you disregard what I have done to you? Memories or no memories, what I have done violates several Vulcan ethical codes of mental conduct with psy-null beings. [Anger flares through the connection before Spock can catch it...]
And now I have created what is likely a permanent link between us... and that is a burden to you....

[The anger subsides and there is silence again...]

[Ooc - oh boy this is fun!!! XD]

[His brows raise as he follows.

That's not answering the question, Lupin.]
spohkh: (Serious Face)

Gratuitous Vulcan language! XD lol

[That gets Arsene a look from Spock... ]

[Spock closes his eyes and exhales, giving up for the time being. He adjusts their grip so that they are once more holding hands.]
Is this acceptable?
spohkh: (concerned)

[personal profile] spohkh 2012-10-05 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Spock lifts his hand to his head in an act of mild frustration... it would seem that they were both looking out for each other, and it may prove detrimental if they keep moving in this direction...]

I am fine, though if we are to converse, perhaps we should sit.

[Spock leads Arsene back to the table and places their linked hand on the table top.]

Do you have any inquiries about how this link functions?
deathsdoctor: (Annoyed | I don't know you people)

... an accident.

[... this? Is going to be fun, in the not fun way.

He can tell.]

Okay. Start at the beginning. What went down?

[Syre spent a little time walking about the plain room; staring at the mirrors, walking around to get a feel for the space.]

[Then... interestingly, she removed her socks and shoes, setting them in the corner of the room, as though getting a feel for the floor.]

Hm. ...I'm not really used to something so... simple.

[Spock considers Arsene's question before answering...]

[A link in this context is a mental connection that is usually established between Vulcans of similar minds. There are several categories of 'bonds' that includes family, very close friends and between mates.....

What seems to have happened here is the result of a high stress situation and no mental shielding on my part. Though that should not have had been of any consequence. Links to not 'spontaneously' occur like this. It would seem that our minds are compatible, and during that episode in the Dome our minds called out to each other...

To what degree our minds have been linked is what I will have to further look in to. I have yet to meditate and find out for certain what it is we are dealing with. Though what is for certain is that a link does exist, and we will have to learn to deal with it on some level.

[Spock looks away for a moment, clearly embarrassed, he has never had to deal with a situation like this before...]
