5th Turn [Video/Action] Forward Dated to the 26th

[It's late at night that the video feed opens. The thief is there, not remembering proper camera etiquette again, with a finger held up to his smiling lips. "Be quiet," he seems to be asking. Not that it would save him.

While he's requesting quiet, he himself is haphazardly humming a soft, haunting melody, the title of which he will swear to the day that he dies that he doesn't know. For a man who hasn't spoken to God in years, his humming is strangely reverent.

The viewers soon realize why.

The thief removes himself from the video feed, presenting a scale replica of a cathedral that some may recognize as the forever incomplete Sagrada Familia, the magnum opus of the deceased architect, Gaudi. Done up entirely in matchsticks and glue, and delicately standing on the coffee table in front of Lupin's zebra print sofa, it is but a faint echo of the original's majesty.

Astute observers will notice something different about it--it doesn't look as incomplete as it is in real life. The thief comes back into view, smiling.

There are secrets lingering just beneath the surface of his gaze. He will say nothing that will indicate what, though.]

Beautiful, isn't it. Been feeling a little nostalgic, for some reason. I thought the Old Man would appreciate it.

Oh. You think they'll ever finish it back home?

Who knows? Gaudi died in '26, and his plans were partially destroyed. Last I heard, there was a lot of heavy debate about what to do with it. For all we know, it might even end up collapsing.

The Spanish government wasn't too smart about where they put their Alta Velocidad Española...their high speed train. The foundation might be compromised, for all we know.

[Zenigata is up late, as usual. He's reading a new detective book he found at the library The Curious Cases of Judge Dee but as always he has his journal open, letting it pick up various notes. When Lupin's broadcast comes on, he sets down the book and listens.

The haunting tune strikes a chord with the old Inspector, its familiar...but also not. He listens quietly, waiting for the purpose of all the theatrics and reverie. Though, as the small replica comes into view, it all finally clicks together. The incident in Barcelona a few years back...]

You know, it really does bring back some memories.

[He only has this time because of a few nasty debacles he's had over the last month. It was either do something with his hands, or disobey doctor's orders and risk unwilling sedation and/or bondage.]

Nope, Jack. Sorry. It's a cathedral--one that's unfinished in my world. It's funny, they've been working on it for over a century, and will likely be working on it for at least another century if they don't get their act together.

Or if they don't accidentally destroy it.

It's called the Sagrada Familia, and it's pretty special for me.

[Today things were...better. Much better. Adele was feeling more herself, without the aid of medication, and was confident enough to attempt a pot of stew. She's humming under her breath and flipping through recent entries on the journals when she hears that soft tune. She pauses, sets her knife aside from where she's been chopping vegetables, and watches the video posted by...Lupin. It makes her chuckle, and leaves her more than a little impressed by his skill yet again.]

It is exquisite, Lupin.

[Grune isn't so much a night owl as she follows no schedule known to, well, anybody but her. When she opens her journal, the background will show a lot of trees and not much else. Why, yes, she is wandering around the forest alone in the middle of the night. What of it?

And her first response to the evidence of Lupin's the extreme boredom is...a round of applause.

You think so, Grune-chan? [He's not at all alarmed by her wandering the forest at night. She's sweet, but can probably do a ton of damage with that magic of hers.] I thought so too, when I saw the real thing a few years ago.

[So Selphie's been staring at this little creation for quite sometime. If the perky brunette has ever set foot inside of a church, she isn't likely to remember. When she finally does speak, there's quite a bit of awe in her voice.]

It is. It's a basilica in Barcelona that's been under construction for over a century, called the Sagrada Familia. I'm not religious myself, but I make a special exception for this.
