General Info/Permissions
Character Name: Arsene Lupin III
Fandom: Lupin III (TV Specials Era, with a healthy dose of Green Jacket thrown in for measure.)
OOC:
Backtagging--Sure. It's probably better for me if I don't get into an RP frenzy, because then nothing else in my life gets done at all. Also, it gives me a chance to think over what I want to write and how I want to write it. I like to be thorough
Fourthwalling-- As in, breaking the fourth wall? Go for it. It will boost his ego to know that his reputation has preceeded him, although he's likely to not believe you or make a joke about it at a later point.
Threadhopping or Threadjacking-- GO FOR IT!!
IC:
Hugging-- Go ahead. Approach with the full knowledge that you're liable to deal with wandering hands and eyes if you're a pretty young woman.
Kissing-- Go ahead. Same disclaimer as above.
Flirting-- Have fun! <3
If you're a lady, nine times out of ten he will have attempted to flirt with you first. If you're a man, he won't initiate anything but isn't above flirting back if it suits his needs--even if he just needs some momentary amusement. Canonically, he has seduced men already...though, he was in the guise of a woman to do so.
Relationships-- Canonically, the only long term relationship he's had is with Mine Fujiko, and that continually backfires because monogamy doesn't seem to register in his mind at all. At most, you'll get a fun little fling. Fujiko is always the woman he's going to return to.
Fighting-- In proper context, He's not above a good spar. However, it might end with Lupin either diffusing it by acting like a goofball or whipping out another one of his infamous gadgets or explosives.
He's more likely to flee in the end, because he's above all else a lover, not a fighter.
Slapstick-- Of course! Sometimes this man deserves it!
Injury-- PM me first. I'm not against it, but I like to plan these things out.
Killing-- I would prefer not. PM me if you feel that you must, and please make it cool if you do.
Mind Reading-- Go ahead; he's just a man, after all, with all the abilities that are in the capacity of a normal man. Keep in mind though that he's a notorious liar and very secretive when it comes to his plans and intentions. He wouldn't like you finding out some things, but is very good at rolling with the punches.
Further Notes-- If Arsene Lupin III and Mine Fujiko are spotted anywhere in the vicinity of eachother, don't be too traumatized if they threadjack eachother. They both are impulsive, egoistic, and attentionwhores--and most likely don't mean your character harm. Their relationship is very complicated.
Feel free to jack us back. We probably deserve it.
Also, his friends are everything to him. If you do something to one of them, expect a very angry thief raining hell and vengeance upon you tenfold. He's a nice man, but very capable of making your life miserable if you provoke him enough.
Possible Trigger for Readers-- Canonically, Lupin has had multiple counts of possible homophobia. If it comes up in regular play, I will try to play it off as this guy being relatively old fashioned and the possibility never really occuring to him--polyamorous and heteroflexible as he is. He thinks about a lot of things, but this topic just isn't one that he thinks about deeply. Additionally, having at least two counts of trans-individuals make attempts on the lives of his friends and himself is likely to have colored his opinion.
Feel free to point out his hypocrisy, if you are aware of it. He takes too much glee in disguising himself as a woman (extremely well, I might add), and the barb to his pride might do him a little good. At the very least, it might force him to think a little.
Additionally, these opinions in no way reflect the opinions of the player.
Warnings-- Please ask me if you have any questions, and please tell me personally if I do something wrong. This is the first time I've done any LJ roleplaying, the first time I've run this character, and one of the very few times I've run a canon character at all. I'm still learning all of the lingo and etiquette around here, and still might be fuzzy on a few things. Again, let me know.
Also, if I don't respond right away, rest assured that its not because of anything you did. I'm working a job with uneven hours, taking some classes, and in general I have a relatively busy life. If I feel like I can't reply, I'll be sure to let you know.
