Appointments
This is the mailbox of your's truely, Arsene Lupin III. I take it that you've come here because you want to talk to me or make some kind of plan. Whatever it is, I'l gladly listen, but I need your name, date, time, and the best way to get back to you. Sorry I missed you, and I'll get back to you soon, okay?

[She doesn't know why she does it, other than to tease him. But she pulls out a small card from the bag, a pen, and scribbles out 'I shall steal this coat for compensation in a month if a hairpin is not delivered' with her initials below surrounded by, well, wings. And slides it into his coat pocket.
Lupin, your coat has been calling card'd.]
[Action] April 25th
Delightful.]
You know? Maybe I'll find a way to take you home with me. You wouldn't be too bad if you keep this attitude.
Just keep out of Japan. If that Jimmy Kudo doesn't get you, my grandfather's biggest fanboy, Kaito Kid, will.
[Action] April 25th
[She tilts her head to the side, mulling it over. Lupin's world. With all she's heard it would be difficult to get a foothold. The logistics of appearing there, of being in his debt- she wasn't certain it was something she could work out. But. Were he to find a way? She might not mind it.]
It is a tempting offer. I will have to consider it.
[Action] April 25th
The harder part would be getting out of Luceti and going to whichever world you wanted. A part of him was curious to see Smoker's world, but he didn't want it to be his end destination. Another part wanted to go and see what Red's future was like...another impossibility.
He chuckles. So many what-ifs. It was going to cramp his style.]
You have all the time you need. We're not getting out anytime soon. I, on the other hand, only have a month to find you something that puts that little birdie pin to shame.
[Action] April 25th
Thoughts for another time, another place. Adele lifts a shoulder, smiles, and sips her wine.]
You're a man of many talents Lupin. I'm certain you could think of something.
[Action] April 25th
I'm all ready plotting something grand. You'll sometime soon--but, I think I can find a few nice shinies for you in the interrim.
[Action] April 25th
[She finishes her glass and stretches, enjoying the cool air. Whatever he thought, whatever he planned? She was curious. About some of it, at least.]
If you don't your coat is forfeit. Remember that and we'll be golden.
[Action] April 25th
[He's still enjoying his, content not to rush this time. Between anti-inflammatories and what happened last time he drank with a woman while on pain medications, he plans to keep his head.
Especially since he laid out bait. Especially since she was probably going to bite.]
[Action] April 25th
Still...a grand plan. That bore poking.]
...What is it that you are planning, Pateesa?
[Action] April 25th
Oh, only the best show that Luceti has ever seen, of course!
[Not going to say more than that...]
[Action] April 25th
[Now? She does pout. Shamelessly.]
Tell me Red. Please?
[Action] April 25th
It will be the greatest show because it has never once been tried in the history of this enclosure. It's dashing, it's daring, it's fun...and will restore the spark to many, many of the souls in this little bubble that are shadowed by hopelessness and doubt.
Ma cherie. I'm taking the Fountain.
[Action] April 25th
...
The Fountain? The Fountain.
[Action] April 25th
Why of course. Can you think of anything that is more symbolic of peoples thoughts and feelings on the village? It stands there in the plaza day and night for years, eternally weeping. Even the people who wear a smile are weeping on the inside because of the sheer fact of life here. People come, people go. People can start new lives here, only to be torn from it and pulled back to their homes. Others see this as their only chance at life, and are going cold in their graves as we speak. Still others see this as a little death, and wish for nothing more than to return to the life that they were made for.
It doesn't matter who or why, what only matters is this: taking the fountain, even getting it to move an inch, will help people remember that we are not powerless in our gilded prison. We are not hopeless and not defeated so long as we remember that tomorrow brings another day and we still have the mind and heart to think and dream.
[Action] April 25th
[How much of that was something she'd thought? Something she'd felt at one time or another? Of course Lupin would think the same-
but unlike the rest of the village he would do something about it.]
That was beautiful, Lupin.
[Action] April 25th
It's the truth. It can be ugly or beautiful. If it is, then that was no fault of mine.
[Action] April 25th
[A little huff of a laugh and turn of her head, disguising a dampness to her eyes. She wipes at them discreetly before turning a smile back on him. Ignore what you saw, Lupin. She'd been moved.]
How do you plan to do it?
[Action] April 25th
Balloons, Adele. We're doing this in the flashiest way possible.
...I stole the Statue of Liberty with balloons. I can steal a fountain like that too.
[Action] April 25th
[She laughs, high and bright, trailing off into a giggle that's almost too young for her. Almost.]
That will be fantastic Lupin- You're brilliant!
[Action] April 25th
[He's grinning though, the sudden cockiness in his stance and tone doing nothing to alter it.]
Can I count on you to be by my side then? Or at least be a loyal recorder? [Because he's aware of your camera, Adele.]
[Action] April 25th
[She has her reputation of neutrality to consider. Well. Apparent neutrality. Which apparently meant nothing, now. Still. Agreeing outright without bargaining? Batholomew and Remy taught her better.]
What is in it for me?
[Action] April 25th
Oh, I dunno. Bragging rights. The time of your life. Being known for having a reputation as an excellent doctor who moonlights as a crazy bitch from this point onward.
In a good way, of course.
[Action] April 25th
[She tilts her head to the side. Mulling it over. It'd be fun- it'd be terribly fun. Awfully out of character. But that same impish thread in the back of her mind that urged her to invite a man upstairs in Geneva years ago speaks up once more. Do it. What could it hurt? Live a little, while you can.]
What else do you have?
[Action] April 25th
We'll figure out something when the time comes. This place doesn't have much to offer--you'd think that a renewed belief in human ingienuity would be enough.
...I understand though. You're used to my kind of man.
