[With that Lupin flipped his journal closed, tucked it into his backpack, and trekked across town to the bar in question. He was bundled up in a thick jacket and scarf because of the snow-- the Malnosso's little present left him a little less tolerant of the cold, which was such a lovely thing to have in the winter.

He's there flicking on the lights by the time Robin arrives. The last few weeks were spent fixing the place up and preparing it for its grand re-opening...and the effort showed.]

[It takes a little to find the place, only because Robin has never been there before. It looks better than she expected-- would it be the type of place for what they had in mind? She wasn't sure one way or the other but someplace was better than nothing at all and--she supposes--they could adjust. She smiles as she sees Lupin and approaches him]

You have good taste, Thief-san. I take it there's an open bar here? [An invitation to get her a drink? Could be. If you're sharp eyed, you might notice a figure in the deep shadows, but maybe it's just your imagination]

It's the club--of course there's a bar!

[As if he would ~~conduct a hostile takeover~~ try to run a different kind of establishment! Cloud Nine was a favored haunt of his, and the current state of affairs disappointed him. He had no choice but to take over if he wanted a swanky alternative to the pub across town.

--he did see the movement, but this was Robin. She was friends with Fujiko, and he was well aware of the risks involved.]

What'll it be tonight? I'm still taking stock of what's here.

Whiskey, please. Dry. [And she'll sit at the bar, one leg crossed over the other and watch him carefully, with more eyes than two and he might catch them blinking up at him]

Fortunately, alcohol will be the least of our worries for this foray. As for initial members... Marco will join. You and I... [She tries to think of who else might be helpful] I'm faintly considering asking Beast-kun. Do you know him? He's kind but seems timid. [And she hasn't seen him around for a while lately. Could it be he's returned?]

[Although he did notice those eyes, he was dutifully ignoring them. Lupin would do the exact same if he had Robin's skills, so he couldn't very well call her out on it. Pirate or no, they were close to the same breed. Unlike most people in his profession, he did have a shred of honor-- and he liked challenging women.

He poured two glasses, for both Robin and himself, while he listened.]

I can't say that I know Beast-kun. He's the big, hairy guy in town, right? [It was hard not to notice the man.] But if Marco's there? We're going to need someone else. It never ends nicely when we're together.

Oh don't you? [Color her intrigued] Why not? Does he ruffle your feathers? [She wants all the gory details. ~~so she can be amused by them later~~ Though someone else might be a good idea however...]

Unfortunately I don't know many here... [Or at least not one she could suggest] Do you have any recommendations?

[He laughed.] What feathers are there to ruffle???

[Marco had them all ~~with their sparkles~~. He wasn't going to say a thing.]

I can't think of too many people to recommend, though. [Or, anyone that he thought would talk.]

...Maybe Daisy?

What feathers indeed. [Everyone has feathers, Thief-san, and she hopes to one day find yours]

I don't think I've ever met her. What is she like?
