Appointments
This is the mailbox of your's truely, Arsene Lupin III. I take it that you've come here because you want to talk to me or make some kind of plan. Whatever it is, I'l gladly listen, but I need your name, date, time, and the best way to get back to you. Sorry I missed you, and I'll get back to you soon, okay?

2am on the 29th
'The needs of the one outweigh...'
[He trailed off when he realized what he was mumbling. That was information he did not want Spock to know right yet.]
You're an academic mostly, right? Not trained for battles on this scale. That...must have been tough.
[Another round of antibiotics.]
With all of that mud I'm surprised that these aren't infected.]
Re: 2am on the 29th
However, his shoulders drooped in defeat...]
I was afraid... these creatures were surrounding me and I... ran. That is why I got here so quickly.
I am a trained starfleet officer... I am quite able to handle myself in any military or hostile situation.. [Spock closed his eyes... he is worried about the people he left behind... ]
I am Vulcan... as long as I was not stationary for long an infection would not have taken place.
2am on the 29th
Starfleet officer or not, this isn't a ship battle. Things exist here that are hard to imagine anywhere else, so you're just relatively untested.
...and you did only just recover yourself. Don't think too hard on it.
[Because, while he was worried, he wouldn't place any blame on Spock or anyone else.]
Re: 2am on the 29th
But his human side was scared and only wanted to come home....]
I...appreciate your efforts in attempting to 'cheer me up'... And I must admit that your reasoning merits some logic.
[When Lupin finishes with his leg... Spock sits once more and presents him with his shoulder...]
Might I be able to borrow that robe once more for sleeping? [Spock, following Lupin's warning, does not intend to go into a healing trance for the time being. Because he was right, it was too risky...]
2am on the 29th
[He repeated the process on the shoulder, and realized there that he would need the tape instead of the gauze. With the location of the lacerations, Spock was damn lucky that his wing didn't get clipped--that was automatically a week of recovery, at least, and a lot of pain...]
I'm just trying to use your own methods here, Spock. I'm pretty rational too, you know. [An amused huff. This really was almost like consoling a younger brother, if the movies bore any merit]
Re: 2am on the 29th
And Spock may have shared Lupin's view of a brotherly relationship... but he does not fully understand what that entails. Then again, he may be over thinking it.]
Spock stands when all is done and helps to pack things away....]
Do you plan to go back to sleep at this time?
2am on the 29th
Sleep is a nice thing, but I have nothing to do tomorrow unless Wilhelmina makes a racket again.
[He offered a small smile but didn't elaborate on his suspicions. Soldiers fought better when their moral was high, and they recovered better in similar conditions. He would stay awake if he was needed.]
Re: 2am on the 29th
Who is Wilhelmina?
2am on the 29th
[He held his finger to his lips in an exaggerated gesture.]
Not too loud~
She's my squid. You've seen her. She's....been possessed by a ghost for the last few days, and has been acting like a puppy with ADHD.
Re: 2am on the 29th
He then looks down and shuffles a bit... mumbling something under his breath... something about 'amenable'...and sleeping...]
2am on the 29th
Yeah, you can sleep. Let's get you that yukata...
[Lupin led Spock into his room to wait while he pawed through his closet for that yukata. The incident with Adele a little more than a week before left his closet in a completely disorganized mess. Despite the quietness of the village in the wake of the draft, Lupin hadn't made the time to manage the clutter.]
Re: 2am on the 29th
Fascinating... the ribbon was still balled in his fist.]
2am on the 29th
[The yukata was found in undamaged condition, much to Lupin's surprise. Adele had washed everything in his closet with an obnoxiously fruity scented detergent, but he had enough care and respect for the delcate structure of the traditionally styled piece. It still had a floral scent clinging to the fibers, but it was more reminiscent of perfume... Lupin hadn't yet noticed that the ribbon was still in Spock's possession. It had been an unimportant detail in the mess of green.
Lupin turned and held the yukata out for Spock.]
Here. We'll find you some blankets too, so you can be more comfortable after...that.
Re: 2am on the 29th
Sa-kai... despite all that you have done for me this morning, I have one more favour to ask of you...
2am on the 29th
He took a deep breath. His gaze flicked down at Spock's balled up fist before meeting his eyes.]
What else do you need?
Re: 2am on the 29th
You are free to say no....
2am on the 29th
Shoot.
Re: 2am on the 29th
If it is at all possible, could you... stay with me?
[Spock hoped that was clear... this was embarrassing enough as it is....]
2am on the 29th
That lively yellow flower he encountered in the fractured desert of Spock's mindscape once more drifted to the forefront. Spock stated that they had found a 'familial bond' in the Dome, and that their minds were linked in a way that most humans couldn't comprehend. Lupin still couldn't comprehend it, but it was obviously helpful to Spock...
And, maybe, to Lupin himself.
He huffed in embarrassed amusement and leaned back against the wall. This was his price for trusting a complete stranger with his everything...even if neither of them knew better at that time.]
...I'll stay as long as you need. Hell, I can wake Wilhelmina up if you want her too. I'd want company too if I was in your shoes, though I usually find mine in a bar with a bunch of drunk, happy bastards.
Re: 2am on the 29th
[Spock stepped into Lupin's personal space and gently took hold of his wrist and lifted it up so that he could place the ribbon into his hand.]
2am on the 29th
[He grinned and closed his hand around the balled up, green stained ribbon.]
I'll say on thing, Spock. You certainly did keep your word.
Re: 2am on the 29th
However, to dwell on such things is illogical, there was only forward while still retaining the lessons learned from the past.]
Most certainly.
[And with all the innocence of the world...]
The spare room? Or shall your own bed suffice?
2am on the 29th
Which ever is best for you...? Man this is weird!
[He pulled the penknife from the pocket of his loose pants and pulled the ribbon taut with both hands.]
Look. The important thing here is getting you back together, and doing it without you getting hurt. If that means carrying you the long way down the mountains, that's fine. If that means you need someone to guard your back, that's fine too. Sticking close to someone when they're in trouble isn't the hardest thing that I've done for someone I liked.
[A quick jerk of the penknife split the ribbon in two. He set the knife aside and held one of the halves out to Spock.]
Here. A souvenir.
Re: 2am on the 29th
Once settled, he straightened once more...]
[This feeling... a rather curious sensation. Though he had already given his gratitude, it would be illogical to repeat himself.]
Here will suffice.
[Spock moves over to the bed...]
2am on the 29th
But he found his souvenir from that experiment in the little device that Spock had given him. The ribbon was a return gesture--and a selfish move. Now Lupin had something by which he could remember two people by, if their memories were erased again.
It was a small piece for Spock to start his own collection.
Lupin similarly tied his, echoing Spock's gesture, and joined him.]
...you know you don't need to worry about things in here, right? Until your Captain gets back, you're free to make yourself as comfortable as you want. No one's going to judge anything in here.
