11th Turn [Written/Action]
Luceti.
Two things:
1. Whoever it was that found my work shop, return the pieces that you stole before the end of the day. I’ll be in the Barracks. If you fail to comply, I will find you.
It won’t be pretty.
2. What do the rest of you think about the last Shift? Was it good or bad? How did the loss of memory affect you? Do you think it left any long-term impact for yourself, your friends, and the rest of your stay in this village?
-Also. Prism Black. You deserve to be commended for your heroism. Never forget that.
Filtered to Trafalgar Law: Unhackable
I have a problem and I’d like a second opinion on it. It’s not big, but it could become complicated.
-I’d promise coffee, but I have an unrelated problem with getting it. I’ll be in the barracks.
[True to his word, Lupin will be in the barracks all day. His encounter with Spock on Monday, combined with his activities from earlier in the week had finally caught up to him. Fatigue was inevitable. He had spent the better part of the last few days asleep, never very far from his new charge. The veritable plague of crows that had been set upon him by an angered god was an unnecessary incentive. He kept the windows shut, locked away the gnawing need for a cigarette that bit at the back of his mind, and tried to ignore the judgement he saw reflected in the eyes of his avian watchmen—but he would have stayed close to the barracks regardless of their looming (and aggravating) presence.
While the days spent between dreams and fleeting considerations over recent affairs had rejuvenated him, it didn't stop the inherent restlessness that was his constant foe—the core problem that would never entirely leave. The people who knew him would be able to identify the briskness of his step and the cool control with which he held every action and every word. He was distracted by a new project , one that was completely foreign to him, and was unwilling to divulge details until the proper time came.
The thief had returned to work, but nothing was as it seemed.]
((ooc: Thread with Spock is chronologically last.))

Handling? Well I do prayers with grandpa's beads myself and such, but I do not know what you mean actually! I think it would be impossible not to miss things but when I think about the things I miss I think about the things here that I would miss.
[ If she were talking, she'd have to pause. Since she isn't, she just swaps colours, fron pencil to crayon, like that'll make what follows any less distressing. ]
The things that I would miss here are my grandpa and my Uncle Sokka and my Aunt Toph and Uncle Roku, because at home I would not see any of them, because they are not there. They were there in some ways because I heard lots of stories about them but the reason I knew what grandpa looked like was because his statue is outside of the island and because there are pictures of him because he saved our world before I was born! There are statues of Aunt Toph and Uncle Sokka, too.
Since I have been here I have gotten to talk to these people and hug them and play games with them and these and things that make up for anything at all I could ever miss because I really, really used to wish I'd get to see them someday even if that was really impossible and now it isn't impossible and maybe that is why it is very easy to be happy about this place, because it cannot be all bad if it lets me meet people I love very much! Since I have been here I have learned airbending from Grandpa and Uncle Sokka gave me chocolate I'd never had before and told me stories I'd never heard before and Aunt Toph and I had chocolate cake together and made wire pictures! Every day I get to wake up and spend time with all of them!
I would also miss the people I have met here, who I would not have met if I were not here, either. This place is a good place because it has Vivi and Shikamaru and Rapunzel and Uncle Luke and Xzana and Ventus and Sifu Raine and Smoker and everyone else! It has you, and you are fun to talk to, too! I have gotten to do lots of fun things with everyone and even if there are sad things I think that is okay!!
It is true that there are things that are not here, but there are many, many more things that are here!!! I like to think about those!

Lupin sighed, defeated. It seemed like she would say the same thing about disagreements and differing worldviews, about old habits that didn't necessarily apply to life in Luceti. He knew that he needed to adapt, but rewriting habits that have long kept him alive was hard.
It was why he had so few that he actually called friends--and they were a precious few.]
that's a very wise and very mature thing to say, Ikki. Maybe life is more similar to airbending than either of us realize.

Life is whatever you want it to be!!
What do you miss from your home?
written.
I miss my job, and it's not one that I can keep up here.
written.
What was your job at home?
written.
There was no easy way to explain to a child that you're a criminal an that you love it.
Backwheeling~]
I collect artifacts back at home, but there are none here to find. That's why I can't work.
What do you plan on doing when you grow up?
written.
Well after I get my mastery I think I would like to be a nomadic sort of nomad! I want to see the other Air Temples and also the other kingdoms more than I have. I'm not sure what I will do when I travel, but I am certain I will figure it out!
written.
Traveling? My job makes me travel a lot. I've been through deserts and mountains, and everywhere else too. You plan to really live up to the 'air nomad' title? That's an impressive goal!

Hey, Lupin, what sort of people are your people?
written.
There are lots of cars--your satomobiles--and lots of roads back home. There are so many people that we live in big cities. I miss the cities, both for the sights and the sounds. I miss having so many different people around.
written.
I think I can understand that. For me, there are more people here than there are at home, and I like that but it is very different!! It is more like being in Republic City than on the island.

[It wasn't a lie, but there was no way that he could easily explain what happened with the Sagrada Familia to Ikki. There were days back home when even he didn't believe it...but then he would find that stuffed bear the budding architect, Anita, had given him--and the unnatural diamond that was hidden inside. It was Gaudi's magnum opus, and the responsibility of protecting it had fallen on him.]
but this bubble is very different from both of our homes. We'll both have to adapt to life here.
written.
I can do that! You just have to be the leaf, Lupin!
How long have you been here?

It's a gun.
written.
My weapon if I had it here would be my glider staff but it isn't here.
:(
written.
That's too bad about your glider staff. Do you think that someone here could make it for you?
