4th Turn [Action/Voice]

[Residents of Community House 5 may have noticed a flurry of activity from a furtive man in red recently, predominantly in the wee hours of the morning or in the dead of night. The sounds of haphazard bumps and thwacks may have woken them up on ocassion, and the lingering scent of gunpowder may have made them wonder what the hell was going on in that room on the sixth level of the building.

Don't worry. It's just the resident master thief, Arsene Lupin III, finally moving out of Inspector Zenigata's apartment and into his own,  conducting a little mad science while in the process.

...and not everything is going as planned for him. A loud explosion bursts from room #30, breaking the peace of the wintery way. Smoke follows, billowing forth from the windows.

There's a lot of swearing in French.

More, smaller booms follow. The sound of doors slamming, bodies falling, and feet running through the corridors can be heard.

Sorry, Luceti. Lupin will stop trying to make smoke bombs for a while.]

Voice:

Yeah. Sorry about that. I'm just doing science here...

[A thud--something big has fallen.]

Don't worry--I have it under control. I'm a professional, you know!

...shimatta...

[The feed cuts out with more gratuitous swearing as another large something or other falls over.]

[and away he goes, working his arms and legs in that standard Zenigata fashion. ZENIGATA AWAY!!!!]

NOT SO FAST!!!!!

[and Lupin dashes toward toe fleeing Inspector as fast as those skinny legs can carry him, grinning and laughing. It was good to be playing again, even if only for a short while.]

[greatinspector]

Hahaha! [Zenigata puts on a burst of speed as he reaches the road heading towards town. Easier to run on packed dirt than grass.]

[Lupin wants to roar in mock anger so badly, but a laugh bubbles out instead.] Dammit Pops!!!

[Even trying as valiantly as he is, he's feeling it. The exertion that accompanies sudden bursts of activity always gets him in the end. It won't stop him yet, though. Not by a longshot.]

[greatinspector]

WHATS THE MATTER, LUPIN? GETTIN' TIRED?!

[redjacketthief]

NO WAY IN HELL!!!

[That gives him an extra boost of determination and speed as he charges forward.]

I'M GONNA GET YOU!!!

[greatinspector]

[Zenigata just keeps going, not even breaking a sweat now. The cop is holding down his hat to keep it from flying off. He's slowing down a bit, giving Lupin a fighting chance]

C'mon! Keep up! I eat too much ramen...and you STILL can't catch me?

[Laughing madly, he launches himself at the Inspector and dives at him, intent to tackle, steal that hat, and tie the man up in his trench coat once and for all.]

[greatinspector]

[Zenigata stops short, dropping to the ground, flat as a board and lets Lupin sail harmlessly over him. The Inspector rolls to his feet and takes off in the other direction, coat tails flapping!]

AHAHAHA, THOUGHT THAT ONLY WORKED IN CARTOONS DIDN'T YA?

DA-DAMMIT POPS!!!

[he picks himself up out of the dirt, chest heaving and muscles burning. Zenigata...was a beast! Like always. There's no way in any Hell that he can keep up with the Inspector at that moment--

not that the fact will stop him.]

SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN, YOU HEAR?? I'LL GET YOU!!
