[It was the twitching of Spock's fingers that caught Lupin's attention when he drew near. His supplies, the bare minimum needed for such a trip, were all ready packed and waiting for him near the teleporter, and he had all ready informed his companion for the weekend that he would be late. There was one last thing that he needed to take care of.
The intervening days had allowed him to think, and Lupin's conclusion was to keep a relative distance for the moment. Whatever the link was, it was far too complicated for him. He only kept prodding at the idea of it because it kept his mind busy and kept him from driving himself too hard. He arrived not long after Spock did, clad in a pair of loose trousers, a faded button up, and a jacket he had picked up for the growing chill. The nights had grown colder, but the crispness of it would help him think...and focus.
He was considering using this opportunity to try to make contact with Eferin, the local fire spirit, despite it being a trip to the beach.
